Biker girl

For her birthday, Quinn got a little "bike." She never really got the hang of actually sitting on it, but she loves to run it around like Fred Flinstone.

She cruises it around the neighborhood when it's nice outside.

And she even uses the basket to store all of her important items.

With the weather turning a little nicer, we decide it was time for an upgrade. We planned on getting her a tricycle to pedal around on, but thanks to Mommy, we ended up with THIS!

The bike, and the helmet are both a little too big,

but Quinn loves riding the bike everywhere. She thinks she is the hottest thing going.

She even carries the helmet around the house at night and begs us to put it on her. (It is kind of cool. It has fireflies all over it and they light up whenever it moves.)

She's still working on the steering, but by the time summer rolls around she should have that down, and her feet might even reach the pedals!

Lil Mama

So Quinn's new thing now is playing Mom to her baby dolls. She has two of them that she likes to carry around. She tries to sit them on her bike and her shopping cart and she gets really, REALLY angry if she can't get them to sit up right. So we got her a stroller to push them around in. It has room for two dolls, one sits in the seat, and the other goes in a pouch on the back, like in this picture:

(oh yeah, her hair is also getting long enough to put in little pigtails now)

But she absolutely refuses to keep one in the back, so they always both end up in the seat. She likes to push them around the neighborhood, but as you can see she is still working on her steering.

She also has to feed her babies. This feeding was relatively clean. It started with her whining for me to take her booster seat off the counter.

Luckily on this night she only fed them yogurt-covered raisins, so there was no major cleanup of yogurt, or juice or ketchup involved.

And a kiss.

And of course, we can't go to bed until the babies are wrapped up in blankets and in their own beds.

Party time - 02/16/08

This weekend Quinn got to go to a birthday party. The party was for her little friend Conner, and it was at Pump It Up! One of those places where they have a bunch of inflatable slides and toys and....big wheels, apparently.

As you can see, she loved it.

Here she is peering through the net for a picture.

Mommy had a good time too.

Mommy and Quinn both had fun on the big slide.

And they tested out the smaller slides too.

Daddy also liked bouncing around.

Somehow Quinn managed to find a big wheel in the inflatable toy park. No idea what it was doing there.

And she even picked up a passenger...

And fed him later.

From there it was on to the party room where we had pizza and cake and ice cream. Quinn wasn't much for the real food, but she dove right in to the cake and ice cream.

She was even complemented on her fork and spoon handling skills (believe it or not).

And I'm pretty sure she still has blue icing stains on her fingers and face!

Valentine's Day - Chasing birds

This post is just a test, as I start to figure this blogging thing out. I guess I'll start with yesterday - Valentine's Day. We headed up to the District at Green Valley for lunch. Here are a few pictures.

And a video of Quinn eating a pickle and dancing:

It was freezing outside, but Quinn still had fun running around. Her favorite part was chasing the birds:
